Dr. Craig Schacherer is an experienced eye care professional, with over 27 years in the optometric field. He holds a degree from Ferris State University and a Doctor of Optometry from Michigan College of Optometry, which he obtained in 1989. He specializes in General Optometry, Glasses, Contacts, Disease Prevention, Eye Infection and Injury Treatment.
Dr. Schacherer grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa, in the city of Graettinger. When he was 8 years old, he got his first eye exam, found it very interesting, and wanted to be an optometrist ever since. His favorite patient story is the time he helped a patient diagnose leukemia through an eye exam.
Outside of the office, Dr. Schacherer enjoys running triathlons, and has won numerous triathlon age group victories. He is proud to have a beautiful wife and 6 daughters to call his own.
